Instagram hacks have been on a rise. Especially, it seems that the cyber punks are particularly targeting celebrity star’s accounts. A recent story goes around of the Manchester United Footballer’s Instagram handle taken over by mischievous attackers. The miserable incident had befallen Romelu Lukaku on Tuesday.
The Belgian player’s account was seen to troll the real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo. Not only that the 24-year old’s Instagram page was completely controlled by the hackers. They managed to change the display picture and edit the biodata of Lukaku. Further, they even posted around 15 images of epmuusic. A snapchat page of Matt Walker also erupted via various pictures and links.
On a sarcastic note, the alleged cyber-criminal appears to be vivid supporter of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. This corresponds to the comment recorded on an Instagram activity of the Portuguese striker. Ronaldo expressed his resentment over a recent ban he received on his social media platform. Little did anyone expect his mate to turn up with such a response.
The bizarre attack sparked up mixed reactions from the followers of the Real Madrid star player.
However, it was later explained that Romelu Lukaku’s page had noted a compromise, and that is how the troll struck Ronaldo.
The hackers are believed to have had the command over the soccer striker’s Instagram handle for the whole of Tuesday night.
Nonetheless, the account has been reinstated to the owner’s safe hands. Romelu Lukaku got back control over his Instagram handle after all the mess had been surfaced.
He immediately deleted all the images posted on his page, and returned it to its previous state again. Unfortunately, the comment over the former MU number seven’s status persists.
After regaining power over his account, Lukaku apologized for the hack and the offending message emerged due to the same.
“So as you know my account was hacked yesterday! I got it back now.. and for the people trying to leave annoying comments on my page for something I didn’t say feel free to get off my page.”
In another video update, he left a similar note. “I’m back on Instagram now. John (Allen) helped me from Manchester United. So I’m back on it and I want to apologize to the people that felt offended but everything back under control and I’ll see you soon.”
