American singer Ariana Grande faces Instagram hack by some mischievous cyber punks. The 24-year old celebrated vocalist’s account had been taken over on Thursday night. The hackers had posted images depicting racial slurs and other profanities.
The latest victim to social-media hacking, Ariana’s Instagram account was filled with obscene messages, lewd comments and offending pictures.
The followers of this US pop star found the activities quite strange. Making the opening move, rapper and model, Nicki Minaj reacted with a bemused emoji. This provoked the perpetrators to counter-attack with another expletive-laden comment. They also further threatened the American rapper to be their “next” target.
However, the compromise over Ariana’s account was quickly understood by concerned fans. It was followed by their full support for the popstar. They spread the word about the cyber-attack using their Twitter accounts.
The tweet by one of the devotees read: [email protected] has just been hacked on Instagram. Please retweet and help spread the word! Report these posts ASAP! (sic).”
While another supporter was left concerned about the hacking: “I’m worried about @ArianaGrande getting hacked on instagram. (sic).”
“@ArianaGrande your instagram is hacked bby! (sic),” wrote quite another admirer of the singer.
Thanks to the Instagram officials and the message spread across, the account has been restored.
Now, Ariana’s Instagram profile has been reinstated deleting all the abusive remarks and photos.
Ariana then posted a GIF showing a woman shaking her hands and head rapidly, when she got back full access to her account. She titled it as: “Y’all when I got hacked this a.m.”
Until now, Nicki has not faced any compromise with her account. She seems to be on safe water. Perhaps, the concerned officials are toiling hard to keep a check over such hack attempts.
Despite the attack, Ariana did not stop from being grateful to all those who stood by her side. “I don’t know what to say. Words don’t suffice. I’m moved and honored. My heart is very much still there. I love you. Thank you,” she wrote.
